ABOUT HERE4AREASON

Meet our founder

Beth Justesen, educator and mother of three, began Here4AReason after the unexpected and tragic loss of her husband, Tad, who died by suicide in 2017. She serves as board president and pours herself into the mission of the organization.

“Suicide awareness and prevention are very near and dear to my heart. Here4AReason began as a way to honor my husband’s memory and lessen the stigma of those who may struggle with mental wellness. Over the years, it’s turned into so much more. I’m so proud of the work our board and our volunteers have put into our mission – and we’re just getting started.”

Beth works as a guidance counselor, is a certified instructor for QPR (Question Persuade Refer) and lives with her husband, Steve, two daughters (Liza Evans and Kate) and son (Quay) and their Boykin Spaniel, Pearl, who is a trained service dog.

In memory of Tad Justesen.

Loving father and husband. May your legacy live on.
